Golden Flower Tours ("we", "us", "our") is a destination management company based in the Netherlands, providing bespoke, Mandarin-guided travel programmes across the Netherlands and Benelux for tour operators, agencies and individual travellers. This policy explains what personal data we collect through goldenflowertours.com, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
Golden Flower Tours is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can reach us at info@goldenflowertours.com.
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us, through the enquiry forms and newsletter sign-up on this website. Depending on which form you use, this may include:
We do not use tracking pixels, analytics scripts or advertising cookies on this website, so we do not automatically collect browsing data about you. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We process your data for the following purposes and legal bases under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Enquiries submitted through this website are sent directly to our team's mailbox. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Where a booking is confirmed, we share only the details strictly necessary to arrange your programme with the relevant local suppliers (for example, hotels, guides, museums or transport providers) in the Netherlands and Benelux.
As many of our partners and clients are based in China, some communication (for example, over WeChat) may involve personal data being processed outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to keep your data secure, though protections outside the EEA may differ from those guaranteed under the GDPR.
This website loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a font from Google's servers may expose your IP address to Google as part of that request. We do not otherwise embed third-party trackers, advertising networks or social media widgets on this site.
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to respond to you, and we delete it after 24 months of inactivity unless a booking followed. Where a booking is confirmed, we retain the related records for as long as required under Dutch tax and accounting law (currently seven years).
Under the GDPR, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email info@goldenflowertours.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you believe your data has been mishandled.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data you share with us against loss, misuse or unauthorised access.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
